As part of its reporting on rape culture in Halifax, the Halifax Examiner  invited survivors of sexual assault to share their experiences and how the police handled their investigations. They published all anonymously for safety, so my byline does not appear on this article.

The things we keep in our bedside tables are usually the things we most want others not to see. The vibrator. The unpaid bills. The love letters from a long-ago romance.  Like the Littlest Angel’s box, they contain treasures and secrets. They tell a story about a person like no other drawer in the house.
